Best hotel near Cambridge

I found good accomodations for $95 a day(1 king size bed) at the "Days Hotel" on soldier field road. The hotel is about 5 miles from MIT and Harvard making for easy access to both the schools.

$109 is the best rate for this hotel on most travel sites, but if you have AAA membership, you can shave atleast $10 off that rate.

Another thing. Days offers a $30 rebate if you sign up for their Travel Advantage program. You can cancel the membership within the first 30 days at no charge to you.

The final tally stands at approximately $270 for a three day stay at Boston. You cannot beat this price.

Anybody find other great options?

You can stay at my house. 5 minute walk to HBS! rate: $1 billion a night. This is the best deal I've found so far.

Marriott Residents Inn in Woburn (10 miles out) is a very good place to stay for very cheap. If you tell them you're traveling for business (Raytheon is right next to it), you might get a corporate discount.

Very nice place, and easy to drive to Boston.

Unless you are trying to get to an event at 9am at which point traffic and parking become an issue. You are probably better off staying in the city and not having to pay some insane parking rate at a garage.

I assume most people will be flying in for visits anyways.

I'm not sure if the above sentence makes sense... So if you're not going to an event at 9am, traffic and parking will NOT be an issue, therefore you are probably better off staying in Woburn instead of the city? I'm just a little confused, that's all :)

Anyway, you can drive to a metro line, park there, and take the metro in. NO traffic, no parking worries, nothing. All is well.
