Hi

I am having trouble distinguishing between options where distorted options are given. Many a times I mark an answer which is wrong and is given in explanation as distorted answer. Kindly tell how to distinguish between the two and make correct choice

Thanks
Hi desertEagle,

Are you looking at official questions/explanations?

I am doing questions from Aristotle RC 99 and Manhattan RC

Might be worth moving towards Official Verbal questions.

How to get a V40 or higher on the GMAT? What about a V51?

Hi desertEagle,

Do both sources use the term distorted regularly? It'd be a little odd to see that word used in more than a few explanations.

If many explanations say that incorrect options are "distorted options" and leave it at that, you may want to use a different (better) source. Or, if you feel that the passages/questions are good, but the explanations aren't, you could do your own analysis, without relying on the given explanations. That said, normally I'd expect high-quality questions to have high-quality explanations (and if the explanations aren't good, that may mean that the questions aren't either).
