Truck A is 40 miles ahead of Truck B on a highway. Both trucks are moving in the same direction at constant but different speeds, such that in 4 hours Truck B will reach Truck A. In the following table, identify a speed, in miles per hour, for Truck A and a speed, in miles per hour, for Truck B that together are consistent with the given information.

The distance between the trucks has to be covered in 4 hours, so the relative speed between the trucks is 40/4= 10 miles/hour
The difference between their speed is 10 miles / hour
So the two numbers can be 48 and 58. Truck B has to catch up with truck A, so speed of truck B has to be greater than that of A,
So speed of truck B is 58
Speed of truck A is 48
Had swapped the speeds in the last line by mistake. Rectified in edit.

Truck B will have to cover the distance of 40miles in 4 hours. Therefore, speed of truck B has to be 10 miles/hour more than speed of truck A.
Speed of truck B = 58 miles/hour
Speed of truck A = 48 miles/hour
is consistent with the reasoning above.
