With the size of Tuck class so small, am I wrong to assume that by Round 3 most of the seats are determined and adcom can cherry pick best candidates the rest of the way?

If I'm right should I not apply this to year's R3 and save my application for next year early rounds?

Where can we find stats on gmat club members admitted to tuck, wharton, hbs...etc.?

Well, if I feel that my app is strong enough I would still apply in R3 even if only to increase my chances next year by showing my dedication to the school by re-applying.

Personally, I was not bothered much with applying in R1. But that's just my personal attitude.

so from reading on their website, they strongly suggest that we do a visit and interview before we submit application, unless you have a good reason. is that right?

Yes, Tuck encourages applicant initiated interviews. It is not absolutely necessary to be interviewed before submitting the app, but you need at least to schedule the interview and mention it in the app.
