Hi folks,
for the b-school app process - what do you consider to be appropriate turn around time for emails? Hypothetical scenario: you email a current student in a club with an insightful and meaningful question, they respond back in 2 days. how much time do you have to respond? A day? two days?

I know that at work, internal emails have a 2 day window, client emails have a 1 day window. Super urgent stuff usually gets phone calls, meetings, etc so they get responses pretty quick.
I'm making sure I'm following the right protocol for b-school stuff!

Terp is right.....you are definately thinking wayyyyyyyyyy too much about this stuff.

You write them an email, they respond......you then thank them and ask any other questions. As long as you do not bombard them and become an annoyance, any timeframe should be fine.

Respond whenever you want. I get emails from people weeks after I replied to them. That said, it does grate me a bit when people don't even send a thank you note.

Yeah, I think you're looking a litttle too much into it. I've had some students email me back within hours while others took a few weeks. It's a busy time for most with internships so I completely understand. I usually email them back within a day but that's not due to any rules but more so because I'm anxious to speak with them to learn about the school.

but do remember to thank them, even if it's a few days late. Just don't let it drag on to weeks.
