What are your actual test scores?

hi path,
i had similar problems of swings in quant & verbal scores, and had similar wide range in my attempts & actual (600-750). i do think there's a test day jitters factor, which i addressed with quantity - at some point autopilot kicks in.
i improved time management when i began taking the kaplan cat tests - those questions tend to be more time-consuming. i would monitor my time so that at the 30 min mark, i was at question 12, at 25 minutes at question 24, used the remaining time for the rest of the test. similar for verbal section.
after taking enough quizzes, i realized that certain questions were just not my cup of tea - probability - so i would literally guess over/under 50% and move on. same with RC - inference except questions -- I would eliminate a few and guess between 2-3 choices. if i'm going to get an answer wrong i'd rather do it quickly as long as it wasn't too early in the section.
the swings kicked in when i over-focused on my development area and didn't take any practice sections on the skills i was good at (SC, RC) and sure enough, they deteriorated. i started doing 80-20 on development-strengths sections and shifted it 60-40 once i was 2 weeks from test day.
these aren't the most concrete suggestions but you experience is so similar to mine that i had to post something.
