I agree with Lexis rp..

I have seen some of your posts here and I think you are pretty solid in quant. Since it is already your strength, try to push 48 to a 50. It shouldn't be very hard to push V from 32 to 34-35 with a lot of practice.

I have never posted anything but go through a lot of posts here. I am also in a very similar situation. I scored 680 and 640.
My verbal score went down from 34 to 29 (after studying for three months :))
Got tp try again I guess

RC was always killer for me. My feeling was just as yours. I can read 2-3 times and still fail. When I understood what works for me, my rate on OG RC increased to 97%! I still struggle with small vocabulary and reading speed. But I finished my Verbal with 6 minutes left. What were key points?

1. Gin's recommendation.
2. Slow and "active" reading. I always keep in mind two questions: primary purpose and tone. At the end of text I know answers to these questions.
3. Exaggeration and restatement each paragraph, what are its main points. (it is why reasoning can help you: 11-t62631). what the hell! Why the author says about this damn theory "but other studies are necessary"? Aha! He believe that theory can be correct! Does he really believe? Definitely.
4. If you will do all above things, you will answer to all questions faster and almost without returns.

Good luck!

After reading many of the suggestions the idea that we need to minimize the average time for a SC question to under a minute has finally sunk in. SC is the only part of verbal that is more formualic and certain rules apply to it and as you practice more and more, you see the common patterns in those SC questions. This strategy leaves us more time for RC and that can be help for some of us slow readers!
