Hi all,
So I have finally braved myself and registered for the mighty scary GMAT. My test will be on this coming Aug 5. I have tried to take a full length CAT everytime I get home from the office. So far the scores are as follow:
- PowerPrep 1 - 660
- PowerPrep 2 - 740
- GMATPrep 1 - 680 (q47, v36)
My verbal has been hovering around the mid30s. With the last CAT that I took, I got 13 out of 41 wrong, mostly on sentence corrections. Any suggestions on how to up my verbal to the 40ish range (given that I only have less than two weeks left)? I have done a couple hundreds of SC1000, but my score has always been around 70 to 80%ish.
Thank you so much and good luck to everyone else taking the GMAT soon!
Whatever little experience i have basis that i would suggest break down the Verbal challenge into SC/CR/RC, & try to figure out what you can tame and what you cannot at this point in time?
I totally agree with the members here that pick Manhattan SC for quick brush up on SC fundamentals. Considering the time crunch you have, it's quite logical to focus on sections like SC where u can easily pick up your score in very short period of time.
Try to keep your accuracy levels around 90%+ in SC & 60-80% on CR & RC (dont wanna say anything as it's not my arena...) i suppose this can easily sail u thru Verbal challenge!
All the best!
Do write about the d-day!
Lastly, just a suggestion try to repeat the Pearson Vue tests & review them thoroughly!
Me too taking GMAT soon.....so just keeping my fingers crossed!
