I found two typos in two back to back sentences in one of my essays and I just received an interview invite earlier this week - so I say don't fret about it ;-)

This is why I don't go back and re-read my submitted essays -- it can only lead to heartache.

I agree 100% with Moss.

For Booth, I checked the uploaded documents about 5 times before submission, but since Booth's "view your application" doesn't show uploaded documents, I am anxious whether I uploaded correct ones or not.

If you get an invitation, you can brush off the mistake.

But if you don't, you will blame yourself so much thinking that THE MISTAKE might have been the reason. So at the end, I think it is how you perceive it :)

And I agree about converting into pdf too. I dunno, man. pdf just looks..... better than doc.

Is it worth it to re-submit the essay, if there are several minor typos? Some application status page (after submission) allows an applicant to upload any document. Or will doing so impact applicant negatively?

What kind of typos are we talking about here? Are they the same typo multiple times or different ones? If there are many and they're obvious to the reader, you might have no choice but to re-submit. If they are subjective and won't really take away from the reading, then you might want to let it go.

That all being said, you may not be allowed to re-submit an essay. It all depends on the timing and the school's policy. You should inquire by calling anonymously first to explore your options.

Good luck,

Thank you for your answer. It is just minor typos and they are different one. I mentioned 'your curriculum is ideal based on my goals the perfect'. So there is this 'the perfect' kind of typo.

'Technically' I can upload the essay again on the application status page. Whether adcom will consider it, I don't know.
