u, v, w are consecutive integers, what is the median of the

Question

u, v, w are consecutive integers, what is the median of the three numbers? 
(1) w-v=2 
(2) w>v


Its an easy problem...but I have one doubt.... from 1 we can definitely say that U is the median.......but this equation will be true for many different sets of numbers and hence we cannot come to one UNIQUE value of U........So would the answer be E ........or would it be A since we can definitely say that W is the median.....

its a very fundamental doubt I have.....can anyone solve this please?

Since we are dealing with variables here, not with UNIQUE values

I think it would be E. 
In DS questions you need to be able to answer the question they ask exactly. 
And here, i think that they expect a number, not a variable.

From 1, we can conclude that u is the Median, but we do not know the value.

From 2, it is definetly with no use.

Definetly E, no doubt.
