i just got back from vacation, and i'm in the process of finding a place in LA and moving... but I'll try to answer any questions you guys might have...
i'll be a first year this fall, so most of my knowledge is limited to the application process and what i learned during the admitted students weekend several months ago.
hope i can help.

hey guys!

if you're wondering about UCLA Anderson, we just did a podcast specifically on that school! It's part of a new series we're doing that goes 'behind-the-scenes' at different MBA programs. You'll hear from current students, as well as the dean, admissions directors, career management directors, etc.

1. Thanks MBAPodcaster, nice podcast. Thanks Kryzak for the link.

2. Polobrute: I am planning to apply for FEMBA (Part-time MBA) at UCLA for 2008; taking my GMAT in Dec'07. Giving myself full 15 weeks to prepare for the GMAT. Hoping to complete the full application process by the end of Jan'08. Do you know if this will kill by chances for 2008? The submission period is: Early Sept to April 1st.

Might also apply to USC, not sure yet. I love my current job in LA, would not live to move out of LA.

Please advise.
Thanks,
Rx_MBA

well, where are you from? If from the major cities in California, then it's roughly the same. NYC and downtown Boston/DC are the only other places that have similar rent. Even Chicago is cheaper by up to $500/month for similar places.

As for UCLA, I went from knowing NOTHING about the school to getting a LOT of info about entrepreneurship and students clubs. Polobrute, if you're still around, I'd love to meet up with you next time I'm there (10/8). Outside of that, UCLA is a GREAT school for entrepreneurship/VC and I would be very very delighted if I can get in!
