Hello,
Does anyone know what is the difference between UCLA FEMBA vs EMBA program. Which one is better? Is EMBA worth the cost?
Thank you.
As a general rule, EMBA means executive MBA, which is designed for middle level managers and other professionals who have over 10 yrs Work exp. They also receive an official sponsorship from their employers (not necessarily tuition assistance, but still a sponsorship. Classes for exec MBA's are usually every other Friday and Saturday all day and last about 2 to maybe 3 yrs (but closer to 2 years).
UCLA's FEMBA program is its traditional part time MBA which according to its website is an evening only deal. Students here are about the same age as or maybe slightly older than full time counterparts, but are working while going to school at night or on the weekend. Part Time MBA's generally take three years because students in an evening program take classes two nights a week or in a weekend, take classes only on Saturday, as opposed to the executive MBA students (that have twice as much class time as you can see).
