Hi guys I received the official admission letter from UIUC for their MSF program for Fall 2020. However my admission is as a limited status due to my 3 year Bachelors and CA degree. The requirement is to fulfil minimum CGPA in the first semester. Will there be any issues when it comes to visa processing from India?
On the other hand, I also have an offer from Edhec business school for the MSc in Finance program. The only issue is that they are asking for €6500 as a non refundable deposit which is a lot considering it’s just the deposit. And what I have heard is it’s extremely difficult to get jobs in Europe post qualification for Indians.
So don’t know what to choose. I am currently awaiting a decision from Warwick as well. But I have to pay my deposit in either UIUC or EDHEC before Warwick’s decision.
Please help!

Hi Shubhi,
Congratulations on getting admit from both the colleges. I think first you need to decide on the country you want to work in. EDHEC is definitely a good school but you should then consider learning the local language there. It is very difficult for international students to get a Job in Europe without knowing the local language.
On the other hand, UIUC is in the US and perhaps it will be easier for you to land up a job in Chicago as the university commands very strong reputation over there. Even I have a admit from UIUC among other schools in the US for their Fall 2020 MSF. In my opinion, UIUC should be a better choice if you don't have the willingness to learn the local language in Europe. Warwick again is a good school but the overall economic situation in the UK is uncertain due to the Brexit fiasco.
