Hi Everyone,
I had registered for the GMAT exam by filling in my details, but while scheduling the exam, I had some second thoughts and thought about doing it after a few days.
Yesterday, I tried, and it rerouted me to the page. I filled in my details; however, after confirming my personal information, it rerouted me back to the home page and gave the below error.
'Unable to find GMAT ID. Please make sure to complete your profile and try again.'
I tried 5–6 times and got the same error. I dropped an email to customer care as well. I thought this was a server error and tried doing the same this morning. I got the same error.
While trying to figure it out, I checked account details, and while trying to log out and log in I noticed that there were two accounts stored in the password section of my Chrome.
One with my email ID (let's say firstnamelastname999@gmail[removed com as it is not letting me post thinking I am posting a URL]), another with my email ID firstnamelastnanme@gmail[removed com as it is not letting me post thinking I am posting a URL].
While registering for the GMAT a few days ago, I filled in my details in the latter account, and its GMAT ID was generated as well. Personal details such as phone number and email ID in the profile section are correct in this account, though.
Now, the error I am getting is in the account with my email ID. I think due to the same email ID as well as all other details in the personal details tab, it is failing a duplicate check and not generating the GMAT ID, thereby not allowing me to register.
I tried changing login details but only the password can be changed; email can not be changed in login.
Personal information i.e., communication address, phone number, and email ID is mine; however, the email for login is not owned by me. I have sent an email to customer care explaining all the details if the latter account can be deleted or the GMAT ID can be **** to my account.
Has anyone faced similar issue, what can be done?
