Hello everyone, This is my first post on GMAT club in 6 months. I never really believed in writing my difficulties on this forum and seek help from students and teachers. But now I think I dont have any options left. I am writing this post for two reasons:- 1) I really really want a way out. 2) By writing and discussing my issue on this forum I think I can convince myself to attempt GMAT one more time.
1st Attempt November 2015 I took GMAT very casually and it got reflected in my score 520(Q43, V19) 2nd Attempt October 2016 I prepared for 6 months and scored 660(Q49, V30) 3rd Attempt December 2016 My preparation was more or less same and I scored 630(Q49, V28)
I feel like as if I am walking in a black space with no visibility as far as Verbal is concerned.

For SC: keep your focus only on Manhattan GMAT Strategy guide it is best book, for practice use OG questions For RC: use Manhattan or Aristotle Strategy guides, for practice, complete OG Questions and then 117 RC passages file that is available at GMAT Club Download section For CR: Use powerscore CR Bible (it may take 10-15 days depending upon your efficiency and time given to it) and OG for practice
if you have any ambiguity about any question (RC, SC, CR, DS, pS) while practicing , just search that question on GMAT Club search bar, you would find a lot of discussion by expert on a single question
Well, I'd certainly have to know more about the specific problems you're having to really help, which would be easiest to do if you had a practice test that you analyzed. But, generally speaking, when you review a question in each section, here's what you should be looking out for:
RC: how could you have answered the question more quickly, with less reading? CR: how does the argument function? what are they trying to prove, how are they trying to prove it, and what's their evidence? SC: what is the meaning of the sentence or phrase? how can that meaning be phrased more grammatically or efficiently?
If you start critically engaging with practice problems like this, rather than simply memorizing them, I'm certain your GMAT Verbal score will improve.
Thank you for your feedback and tips. I have given 4 out of 6 Manhattan CATS (lowest Verbal score- 25 and highest-38)and my performance was very inconsistent in verbal. Sometimes I do well in RC but not in SC or CR. Sometimes in SC but not in RC or CR. During my actual GMAT I felt a very strong crave to know answers in Verbal section. And without answers I feel an empty space in my head like vaccum.
