hi, getting transcripts from my undergrad college took 6+ months during the MBA application process. :( my college was merged with another new college, so getting any official documents is extremely painful and extremely time-consuming.

so, i'm wondering...when you apply to jobs/internships, do you have to get your college transcripts sent to firms? what about after you get an offer?

for my own sanity, i really hope they don't care. i'm guessing i'll apply to MC and/or IB firms.

I'm not recruiting for MC or IB, but my friends who are haven't said anything about having to provide undergrad transcripts. Most companies that hire interns or full-time do background checks to verify info in the application rather than asking the applicant to provide evidence, so it'll be the background check firm's problem to try and get info from your undergrad college if it even comes up.

From my understanding, background checks can only verify that you graduated and what quarter/year you graduated from, and your degree. GPA's/Grades are not given unless with your consent due to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

So if they require transcripts or GPA's. You will need to provide it.
