Hello,

I have a few concerns on my journey to prepare for the GMAT. First, I wont be able to enroll in a prep course and will have to study on my own. Additionally, my access to some of the GMAT materials recommended on this site is severely limited. I was wondering if anyone in a similar position could offer any advice. In terms of study material, my budget was limited, so I thought it was best to purchase the Manhattan GMAT guides (all 8 books), the official GMAT review 12th edition, and the official quantitative and verbal reviews (2nd edition). I don't have anymore money to spend on any of the general overview books from Kaplan or Princeton, so I must do the best with what I have. My main question: as a newbie, is it possible for me to attain a 700+ score with only the materials I mentioned previously? If anyone else managed to score a 700 with only those materials, could you please share the study plan you used to achieve your score? I plan to sit for the exam in late April or early May, so I have roughly 3 months to prepare, and from what I read on other posts, I'm already behind :( . Though I am not working, I plan to get a job very soon, so work hours will be a factor. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

You have sufficient material to hit your target score. The score is not a factor of how many books you buy/study, it is rather a direct outcome of your expertice on the available material. In my knowledge, only the OG along with the material available on this forum(free) should be sufficient. You need to understand the concepts and tricks that GMAT tests. More books may only confuse you. What you have is enough along with the 6 full length tests on MGMAT and 2 GMAT Prep tests that you will have access to when you register on mba.com.
