Actually the Haas application asks you to list which other schools you're applying to. So unless you lie, you'll have to disclose that you've applied to Anderson as well. I don't think it really matters though, and I believe they use it more for statistical tracking than anything else. Also, in the Haas vs Anderson battle, students have consistently chosen Haas over Anderson. I say that because I don't think Haas would change their decision just because they know you've applied to Anderson. If Haas wants you, they'll admit you.

Hi gmatclub,

I have applied to Anderson and was thinking about applying to Haas. I was told school ask for others schools you are applying to in an effort to understand how strongly you feel about them (i.e. you could be using one or the other as a backup). My question is this, will either school know whether or not I applied to another school within it's own school system?

Thanks

Not unless you tell them.

You don't have to disclose it. If you feel like keeping it private, by all means do so, but realize that not sharing says something too! As with the rest of your application, you need to be strategic.

No, they won't be available to find that out. As all the information is confidential.
