Is anyone looking to apply to UICU? If so, what are you looking to score on the GMAT or what have you scored?

Has anyone gotten in?

I heard that UIUC has recently converted their entire program into online mode. I suppose this will help you get in much easily with a GMAT of even 650 with a decent profile

So are you saying a 650 is low for an applicant?
no it is like a safe score

Oh okay, I am shooting for between 600-650. I take a real test in August and another in September. I just started studying so I have a long way to go.

Hi ZCurry15,

Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you're planning to take the GMAT in August, then that would give you no more than 1-2 months of potential study time. By extension, that will likely limit how much you can improve in that shorter time period.

Since you're just beginning your studies, if you have not already done so, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) Are you planning to apply to any other Schools besides UICU?
2) What application deadline(s) are you currently facing?
3) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
