Hi
I am 27yr old working in the Middle office ( Independent pricing and verification ) of IB for last 5yrs. Was with GS as Sr Associate for last 5yrs ( 3.5yrs in India and 1.5yrs in London) and recently moved to join another major bank in Singapore as VP in their middle office group.
I have done graduation in Commerce from St Xavier's College which is ranked among the top 3 colleges in India for commerce with CGPA of 7.48. I did clear ACA ( Chartered accountancy ) and also International CFA both in 1st attempt.
I want to move to US by end of this year and start working there in a more dynamic and challenging job hence want to do MS finance ( not planning for MBA in spite of 5yrs experience as i think chances of getting into top MS Finance college is higher than getting into top MBA college )
My GRE score wasn't good as i didn't got much time to prepare while switching country so planning to give it another shot . Score was 305 ( Q- 161, V - 144 ).
Universities in US where i am trying is
1) NY Stern ( They require 5yrs of experience and have been well ranked so this would be my first choice )
2) Vanderbilt University
3) University of Rochester- Simon Business School
4) UC Berkeley- Haas School of Business
5) John Hopkins- Carey School of Business
6) MIT
7) UT Austin
Can you guys suggest me if my chances are good in the above universities based upon my profile?
Will also fill application for below university however i am not expecting any call from them
1) Harvard University
2) Stanford
3) Princeton University
My Recommendations are also strong i feel. Have got it from 2 MD's of GS for NY Stern and MIT and 2 Executive directors for other universities if that matters.
I am only trying for US universities. Incase you think i should try for any other university too based upon the ranking and job aspect then would be helpful if you can let me know which one i should try.
Thanks a lot
Regards
