Unlike other scholars, the eminent mythologist has concluded that the stories of Gilgamesh and Osiris record the transition from the age of matriarchal religious authority to that of patriarchal political power.

(A) Unlike other scholars, the eminent mythologist has concluded (correct comparison)

(B) Unlike other scholars, the eminent mythologist’s conclusion (comparison is between scholars and conclusion) incorrect

(C) Unlike other scholars, the eminent mythologist’s conclusion is (same as in B)

(D) Unlike those of other scholars, the eminent mythologist’s conclusions are (meaning is changed)

(E) The eminent mythologists, unlike those of other scholars, has concluded( wrong comparison,sv agreement error)

Choice A is the best.

Thanks

I agree that option-A doesn't have error with respect to comparison { Scholars compared to Eminent mythologist}

The error in Option-D {Unlike those of other scholars, the eminent mythologist’s conclusions are} is the parallelism error rather than change of meaning.

In option-D "those" refers to conclusions. Hence, the items in comparison as per Option-D is "conclusions of other scholars" and " the eminent mythologist's conclusions". This comparison seems to not follow parallelism

Option-D would have been correct, if it has the following structure
"Unlike those of other scholars, the conclusions of eminent mythologist"
