Unlike the Nobel Prize, which is given for extra ordinary work in various domains, a person receives the Booker Prize for work in English literature only.
A. a person receives the Booker Prize for work in English literature only
Comparison is made between Nobel Prize and Booker Prize and not between Nobel Prize and a Person. Hence Incorrect.
B. a person's work in English literature receives the Booker Prize
Comparison is made between Nobel Prize and Booker Prize and not between Nobel Prize and a work. Hence Incorrect.
C. the Booker prize is awarded to a person's achievement in English literature
How could any prize be awarded TO an ACHIEVEMENT. It has to be a PERSON. Hence Incorrect.
D. the Booker prize is awarded to a person for work in English literature only
CORRECT
E. the Booker prize is awarded for a achievement in English literature by a person
Use of Achievement leads to Redundancy since it is self implied that Booker Prize is awarded for an Achievement. Hence Incorrect.
