I have been trying to give some CATs as final practice before the actual thing. So far tried a couple of sources, (a) the mba dot com official prep software and (b)
Manhattan GMAT online test (which buying a book gave me access to).
I have pretty much prepared solely from the OG + some note making from Manhattan sentence correction guide. And the CAT on the manhattan site was quite a shock to me. The math questions on the test were incredibly hard, much tougher than the mba dot com ones so too were many of the verbal ones
As as example on my CAT with the official software I got 3 wrong on math and 4 wrong in verbal; but the same test in the Manhattan site I got 8 wrong in math and 11 wrong in verbal. Strangely enough, thanks to the adaptive nature of the test, both evaluated me with the exact same overall score of 770 .... though at this point I am seriously doubting any merit in another CAT on the manhattan website. Is it even realistic vis-a-vis the questions of the GMAT ?
