I have to make an urgent decision on 3 programs and appreciate any feedback!
I am looking to career switch into marketing, preferably brand management. I know that seems to make Kelley an obvious choice but I also am pretty close to eliminating Kelley due to the location. I just can't envision myself in a midwestern college town at this point in my life. I'm specifically looking to target marketing roles in the NYC area, or northeast in general if NYC doesn't work out.
At this point I feel like my main decision lies between Georgetown which, even with a small scholarship, is significantly more expensive than Owen with a pretty decent 50% scholarship. I've lived in DC so the location of Georgetown is very familiar to me, so part of me thinks a new city would be a good experience.
Specifically for alumni network and recruiting for NYC jobs, would I be able to expect similar career outcomes with Georgetown and Owen? Are the MBA alumni networks comparable? With recruiting being virtual this fall, does my location really even matter as much?
Both schools feel very similar although I do really appreciate and am drawn to the global lens and international business focus of Georgetown. I also like that Georgetown's student body seems a lot more diverse and attracts more international students which I believe is a plus. However, it is difficult to stomach paying over $30K more for Georgetown.
