BhavyaInturiHi, first of all congratulations on both admits. You have been quite descriptive with your question and the research work along with it, so kudos for that too. Here is what I think:
IESE offers a highly international environment, an emphasis on academics, and a supportive cohort, making it ideal for building a global network and transitioning to roles in Europe. The internship opportunity is a key advantage for exploring product management roles, especially in Europe. However, IESE’s limited recognition in India/Southeast Asia might pose challenges for long-term career transitions back to these regions.
ISB, on the other hand, is a strong choice for product management in India, offering a large alumni network and better integration into the local market. Additionally, ISB aligns with your long-term plans to settle in India/Southeast Asia. However, the lack of international diversity and shorter program length might restrict exposure to global business perspectives.
Given that your husband is completing his MBA at INSEAD and plans to work in Europe in the short term, IESE would allow you to align geographically and leverage European opportunities together. This also positions you well for international experience, which can be valuable when transitioning back to India/Southeast Asia later. However, if you prioritize ease of transition and the Indian market, ISB remains a compelling option.
Ultimately, your decision should weigh the importance of global exposure and geographic alignment in the short term against regional opportunities and your long-term plans.
Best regards!
