Hi Forum,
The test center cancelled my exam date a few hours back. They asked me to reschedule the test. I was supposed to take it on 31st Dec (was the only date available). There is literally no available date ever in my city, but when i finally booked it is now cancelled. There are two test centers in my city. One is always full and the other never has dates throughout next year. So rescheduling is going to be a huge problem.
They take a very long time to reply to mails. The center raised a case ticket for me but asked me to reschedule the test. When I tried chatting with one guy from the website, he could do nothing to resolve the issue. He asked me to contact the customer support by calling them(he himself was a customer support

He gave me a number and mentioned it is a number to reschedule the test but it was basically the same only number for India. He later said that the I can call them only on monday 29th which is super close to the exam. Also that number never works I even mentioned that, but he said I should try calling on monday. They never reply to mails also, but I anyway sent. Ohh also apparently the test centre is having renovations and thats why they cancelled it. Even if they did this one day before or a few hours earlier I would have been able to call the customer service without having to wait till 29th.
With GMAC you have no choice but to be cynical. I think even if they do pick up the call on 29th, it is highly unlikely they will understand it is not my fault and even charge me extra for rescheduling via phone. And I am super scared they wont let me write by 31st Dec. I have had bad experiences with GMAC Customer support before, and they make people wait for so long and literally never understand what we try to say. I really need to take the test by 31st. I feel very helpless.
I have a couple of questions:
1. Any experts here know if there is a chance I dont have to pay for rescheduling.
2. I also dont think I can book a date by 31st again and the maximum i can take the test is by 4th jan. And any top 4 close by centres(2 are from other city) according to the website will not have dates. What should I do.
3. Is there any other customer support other than 1204397830 I can contact for india?
4. Please let me know any other course of action? Is there a possibility they will let me write in the other centre that is usually packed.
5. Also I cant take the online gmat becuase I just took it recently and I cant book for another 16 days I beleive?
Please let me know what course of action I need to take.
