Hi SQ17,

Is the School itself offering you the Scholarship or some external 3rd-party organization? I ask because you can send an Official Score Report for your At-home/Online GMAT directly to the School (in the same way that you can if you take your GMAT at a Test Center).

It's an external 3rd party organization hence I'm not able to share the official score report with them (as I would for a school) hence I'm looking for any alternatives which may exist. I don't understand why GMAT would differentiate the score reports like this. I could lose a full ride scholarship simply based on system functionality.

Hi SQ17,

If that 3rd-party organization won't accept results from the Online/At-home version of the GMAT, then that is unfortunate. It's possible that the 3rd-party is concerned about people cheating on that type of Test - implying that a Test Center is the only option for a secure testing environment (and results that fit the 'standard' required by the organization). Given the ongoing restrictions with COVID - and the inconsistent options to take the GMAT at a Test Center - I'd like to think that that organization would be open to accepting results from the At-home Exam, but since it's the organization's money, the organization gets to set the 'rules.' I'd suggest pleading your case in a professional and respectful manner, but if only Test Center results are acceptable, then you have to decide if taking the GMAT under those conditions is an option that you can make happen.

Hi SQ17,

Since you can't actually obtain what is being asked of you, have you considered giving the folks a call at the organization where you are applying for the scholarship?

Is anyone aware of the ability to receive a score report similar to the one that you'd receive for an in person GMAT?

Context:
Took the GMAT online and received an acceptance to IESE
Applied for a scholarship which mandates submitting a GMAT score
Received a response that GMAT Online scores were not accepted since you can only provide a screenshot from your portal and they require an actual score report

I can never understand business schools that keep wanting a PDF of a score report. Do they not realize that PDF can be edited? Do they think there’s some kind of a magical encryption? 🤷‍♂️

You have a few options. Option one is to send them the score report which they should get within 24 hours. I don’t understand why they cannot check it online.

Option two, find someone else’s score report and just edit it with your information and your exact score. Technically this is not lying. You’re simply providing them information in the format they want. Put all of your information in there, your test ID and all the other good stuff.

Option three, record a video of you logging into the nba.com account and showing the score aren’t moving the screen around and zooming in and out so it’s clear that it wasn’t photo shopped.
