Hi,
Does anyone know of B schools in the US where they prefer women applicants ?
Hi EDMlover
As such B-schools do not hold any bias against male and female candidates and all are given equal opportunities. But the % of men in B-schools in US has always been significantly higher. Because of this, several schools, such as Northwestern-Kellogg and Cornell-Johnson, have taken specific initiatives to attract more female candidates.
In the top schools, Wharton has achieved a relatively high percentage of female students (40-42%) over the past few years. Harvard also has a high percentage (40%).
Babson College, Duke (Fuqua), Emory and Kellogg have seen an increase in the number of female students in their MBA class over the past few years.
Among other B-schools in the US, Simmons College, Boston has been ranked as the best B-school for women by princeton review (rank 1 in "greatest opportunity for women" category) with female student enrollment of 100%. (With a class size of 156 and avg GMAT ranging between 450-560)
North Carolina A&T State University's class of MBA has 70.6% of women.
Walker College of Business, Appalachian State University with a class size of 95 has a female enrollment of 45%
University of West florida, with a class size of 176 has 43% females.
Rochester Institute of Technology has a class size of 105 and 43.3% female students.
University of South Dakota has 38.5% women students
College of Charleston has 38%
