Can anyone please explain me this question :

After Mario Lanza Gave a stunning performance at the Hollywood Bowl in 1947 even his most critical contemporaries conceded that he has all qualities of a great performer: Incredible charisma , an excellent sense of music and an amazing voice .

1) Conceded that he has
2) Concede that he had
3)Have conceded that he had
4)Conceded that he had
5)had Concede that he has

Ans : 4 . My doubt is isn't his qualities as a performer still relevant . In that case can we use Had ?

This is indirect speech so we change the tense. The contemporaries would have said - "He has all qualities of ..."
which changed to "... that he had ..."
