Hi Stonecold,

Thank you so much for your time and great advice.

I was wondering whether the BU MBA is a STEM program without any additional courses or will I have to choose few courses in order to qualify for the STEM program.

Thanks again,

NN

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I applied to 5 schools in R1 and the results were - USC Marshall (w/o scholarship);
BU Questrom (20K Dean's scholarship);
Kelley, Mays and Rice - Waitlisted

I would appreciate if someone could help me take a decision.

Thanks,
NN

You need to leverage that USC offer to get atleast 50 percent scholarship from Questrom.

Else I would go to USC.
Better rankings and off course -> Its CALIFORNIA !

P.S -> If you are an international candidate, BU might make sense. It is a STEM program and you would be eligible for a STEM VISA extension. So if I were you, I would have tried to leverage the crap outta USC admit to get a better deal at BU

Questrom's MBA+MSdi program is STEM designated.

Almost everyone(internationals) apply to MBA+MSdi
Did you apply to the MBA+MSdi program or else wise ?

What are your career goals here? Not really seeing why you would go BU over USC here. Little bit more info on what you value in your future MBA program might help out with your evaluation here

Hi,

I have around 8 years exp in the enrgy sector. I'm an international and as everyone, little worried about the H1-B visa changing status.

My career goals are in the consulting sector. I value brand value with some really nice alumni network. Of course, the location of USC seems more attractive to me in terms of job opportunities.

However, BU has offered around 40% tuition fee waiver and USC has not offered any scholarshps. So, was wondering if spending around 175K(USC) instead of 60K(BU after scholarship) was a really good decision.
