Hi, thanks for the response!

So the proximity of silicon valley is not effective in case of USC?

Congratulations on your admits!

LA is a challenging market to recruit in. Do you have gaming and you have the movie industry as long as music but they don’t recruit a whole lot of graduates. A lot of the offices and physicians tend to be regional. Let me check companies have offices there but they tend to be still focused on me gaming and entertainment. There are some smaller tech companies but those are ideal to launch your career.

The reason Foster is more successful as it’s proximity to Amazon and Microsoft, two of the largest MBAPM recruiters for tech. Google and Meta are not really feasible for most.

With so many foster graduates staying local and working here there’s a pretty decent pipeline and it’s easy for the career services to arrange and coordinate visits.

However, not all jobs at Amazon or equal and some of those opportunities are less stellar than others and you still compete with a lot of other graduates because everyone from M7 also wants a shot at Amazon so it often happens is that higher caliber folks get the best PM rolls and the rest Get less interesting and less prestigious position.

If you are looking at tech, you probably want to end that in Seattle. And if you can get a job to start three months earlier, that’s about equivalent amount of money even if you don’t get a scholarship consideration but I would say that just because you go to any business school, Even the best one, that’s never a reason for a company to hire you and they still will look at your past experience and your resume so if you feel that there is pretty good chance your resume is not going to add up or be strong enough, take the cheaper option to minimize the risk.
