I have been admitted to both USC Online and UCLA EMBA program. I am planning on staying in So Cal. My company is reimbursing me for some of my education and based on that structure I would get about 50% of USC and only 30% of UCLA which means that there is a difference of about $50k (USC would be about $50k and UCLA would be about 100k). I am concerned mostly with furthering my current career path rather than a career switch. I would like to get promoted but feel that my work experience is a good base but many higher positions strongly prefer an MBA. Any thoughts?

I think your situation is one where an online MBA makes a lot of sense. I'm in a similar situation: looking to continue advancing in my large company, and MBA is preferred for upper leadership roles. In this case, the USC online MBA will get you the benefits you're looking for, cost less, and save you time and energy (realistically, online MBA programs are usually less time-consuming to complete).

Best of luck! By the way, I ended up choosing Arizona's online program, and I'm very happy with that choice so far.
