Hi,
Can someone advise me whether to prep through the Offical GMAT guide review 16 (grey) or use the quantitative and verbal review (grey and orange) to make prep questions?
What is the difference? Is there a difference in difficulty or ar the green and orange guides just additional questions on top of the grey book?

most of the questions in all OG's are of medium level difficulty. Nonetheless, the books are a great source of official questions. They are given to familiarize yourself with the question types and to identify patterns in the way of thinking of test makers. I personally have OG 2016 and both Q and V reviews. One thing to keep in mind though, the books will not teach you any strategies or ways to solve the questions if this is what you are looking for.

Many Test Takers use a variety of resources during their studies, so while you could start with either of the options that you've listed, you'll likely end up using additional resources in addition to whatever you start off with.
Since it sounds like you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can download 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.
