Hi, I'm starting to form a plan to study for the GMAT and I don't plan on entering a program until roughly 3.5 years from now.
In the mean time I thought I could acquire skills that might be useful later on. So, I was wondering what some of you think are useful skills (whether you have them or want them) in the business world that traditionally aren't taught in college or MBA programs.
Maybe something even as simple as being able to hold a conversation that consists of more than small talk.

I'd like to think I'm somewhat proficient with Excel. I work with it time to time. I can work most formulas and formats. Is there anything in particular you recommend on focusing?
