Is it possible to do something like this? As in not even use a mouse, just a PC pen on a pad or something with a keyboard?

Yes, i'm very curious as well, things like graphics tablets (xp pen or wacom)? or those pen mouses? these would be very helpful.

Many folks have been asking the same question. I guess we won't know for sure until some people take the online exam. So, I'm guessing we’ll find out soon.

No, you cannot use a pen and paper during the Online GMAT exam. The exam now comes with an online whiteboard. It can be used for making notes or solving problems during the exam. However, some people have expressed their concerns regarding the whiteboard. There may be a lag while using the whiteboard, and for people taking the online exam it may make them uncomfortable.

I would recommend that you practice using the whiteboard provided on the Gmatclub to get a feel of this new tool. I believe that practicing the use of online whiteboard will eventually make one comfortable. Further, this will reduce the probability of unwanted issues during the exam.

Note: The online GMAT exam issues result within 7 days.

of course you can , I’m using XP-Pen Star G430S Drawing Tablet with digital pen . It suffice for precision drawing, diagramming, and text on a virtual whiteboard app (such as Google Jamboard , Microsoft Whiteboard , Bitpaper...) .
