Welcome to GMAT Club!
First, here is a bit about FT vs. PT:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/part-time-vs ... 41079.htmlSecond, as to your chances, having a higher GMAT score is definitely good in light of your GPA. The main question adcom will have is - will you be committed enough to finish the program are you going to drop out? You have a bit of a pattern of moving from area to area and you will need to have a good story to paint, showing that your current job/industry/position is where you want to settle. And yes, your GPA is very low by MBA standards where anything belong 3.0 is low. Will require an explanation and you have good support I think.
Helpful points:
- Having a good salary history of increases is helpful
- Promotions and leadership positions are important for MBA (i.e. management roles or at least added responsibility)
- GPA history and classes taken from a community college - are helpful support of your story, so goon on you for taking this up
- Any community involvement/leadership - if you don't have any, get some. Anything you believe in (just not political)
- Recommenders - you need some good ones.
- Your overall application package - what can you improve to make the most difference? Maybe improve GMAT by 50 points? Maybe spend extra time on essays, get extra curricular/volunteer experience, score a promotion at work, etc - think about these and pursue the lowest hanging fruit/most ROI items.
Good Luck!
