Marine and Juhu beach, 5 miles from each other, are the two top beaches in country X. After recent epidemic at Marine beach in August, two months back, the influx of tourists in Juhu beach has increased when compared to same time in earlier years. It can, therefore, be concluded that this increase of tourists in Juhu beach is directly related to the epidemic in Marine beach. Which of the following, if true, weakens the argument ?

Premise : Marine and Juhu beach, 5 miles from each other, are the two top beaches in country X.
After recent epidemic at Marine beach in August, two months back, the influx of tourists in Juhu beach has increased when compared to same time in earlier years.
Conclusion : It can, therefore, be concluded that this increase of tourists in Juhu beach is directly related to the epidemic in Marine beach.
Prephrase or unstated assumption is that there could be alternative reason or need to weaken the cause and effect reason.
D) This correctly weakens that statement that the inflow of tourists is due to the new tourists attractions started in top 3 beaches and Marine and Juhu are among-st the list, but not because of epidemic.
