Hi there,
I think you've listed a reasonable explanation as to a) why you got the degree in India, and b) why you now want the US/global MBA, yes. In terms of would it be 'enough' and convince an admissions committee to accept you, especially at a a top 10 program... that is tough to say. You will be competing for places against many other well-qualified applicants without any MBA at all who are making a case for why they need it ... and it is possible that as sound of an explanation you have, that it may come across that you just don't need this degree/experience as much as others without any similar type of degree. Have people been admitted for a 2nd MBA/similar situations? Yes.... but it is rare and there are some admissions officers who have told us they've never admitted anyone for a 2nd MBA.... so just keep in mind that it will be an uphill battle.
I don't know here much about the rest of your profile, so of course keep in mind that it needs to be stellar as well. And in addition to explaining that you want global connections and opportunities, you also need to explain clearly and confidently what your post-MBA steps and goals are, really solidifying that the only way to reach those goals is through this degree, at this school. You're off to a good start, just keep working on putting together strong reasons, compelling essays, outstanding recommendations, etc and see where it leads. Good luck!
