Hi All,
I have been admitted to Vanderbilt Owen (60% scholarship) and Penn state Smeal (100% scholarship + monthly stipend).
I have been working in supply chain of a CPG company for last 7 years and plan to do operations consulting post MBA. I am an international student from India with really no locational preference.
I am in a total fix on which school to choose and why. Request people to please chip in with their thoughts on school I should prefer.

I think you're in a great spot! You have some great admits and schollies...
Do you have a particular firm in mind?
Is either school a "core school" for that firm?
Is there a particular geography you're interested as far as your post MBA job goes?

The answers to these questions may be helpful for you to arrive at a decision.
Over half of Smeal's graduates stay in the Mid Atlantic or Northeast (https://www.smeal.psu.edu/mba/career/emp ... statistics).
A large chunk of Owen's graduates (especially in consulting) stay in the Southeast (https://www.owen.vanderbilt.edu/employer ... report.cfm).
I wear my bias on my sleeve. I only have good things to say about Owen. Vanderbilt and Nashville are nothing short of awesome. That said, it would be pretty tough for me to pass up on a full-ride+stipend. My recommendation would be to visit both schools and see how you feel. It might be too late to sit in on classes, but you can certainly meet the folks in the career management centers and get a feel for the location of both schools.

It seems like Smeal really likes you, and with their great rep in supply chain consulting this may be a good fit for you. I agree with the above at this point you should really factor in your personal fit if you can. A visit would be great, I know you're in India so this may be tough but I would try and get a better picture for the cultures of both programs to make your decision. However, I'm leaning Smeal right now based on the info provided
