HI,

I first took my diagnostic test on GMAt prep.I scored a 400 in that which is too bad.I would like to know if a student like me can actually score somethign between 600-700 in real GMAT by Hard work and determination...Is there an real life example someone who has actually done it in real life ...I need your help because I want to know that how many hours I should dedicate everyday for my GMAt prepration.
I have assisgned for Knewton course recently, but its a complete disaster.Also I have got some extra prepration material from my friends,and I have access to GMAt club Practice questions, offered as a discount by knewton.
Please help me ...

Deepti welcome to gmatclub.I can assure you that you have come to the right forum.You can read various posts where people have jumped from 490 to 700 plus and i am sure you can do too.The first thing you need to do is work on your weakness as well as strengths to know which all areas you are not comfortable and strength so that you can excel it further.Your splits are a good indication of it.If you see in general it takes close to 100-130 hours,taking an avg of two hours and stretching it on weekends for two months.There are plenty of material,notes,good stuffs here.All you need to do is plan well,study from the right material(i feel its very important) and crack it with confidence.Any queries,you will get a dozen of helping hands...

welcome to the club! i would use mgmat books and use error logs. seems you need to study "everything" to bring your score up

u in the same boat as was I.

jumped out of that bandwagon a while ago and now in the 600+ bandwagon. Proof. Just did a practice today. A lot of hard work man. I take it for real in 2 days (the 18th). And didn't even take a course...now looking back on it, well, that's the past... :-D

don't worry son, gonna post a good one when i take the real one here soon and you guys will have a full debrief. unfortunately, my journey will be stopping in the 600's just because it isn't practical for me to shoot for the 7 series numbers because my university isn't IV league. Just a good ol' regular public state university and there ain't nothin' wrong with that if you ask me :-D
