There are only 36 questions (it was shortened 2 years ago).

Out of those, 30 are scored, and 6 are "experimental":

12 Sentence Correction
10 Reading Comprehension
8 Critical Reasoning

On the official practice tests at mba.com, there are usually 14 SC, 13 RC (from 4 passages), and 9 CR.

If you spend 1:30 on SC, and 2 minutes on RC and CR, you will finish exactly on time. However, SC questions can be confidently solved quicker than that, and I recommend building sufficient mastery of SC strategy and rules that you have extra time to check your work on RC and CR.

Another tip for pacing is to make a tally of how many RC passages you have done. That way, towards the end of the test, you will know if you have another passage coming, which takes longer than SC questions.

Problem Solving: 17-18
Data Sufficiency: 13-14
Reading Comp: 13-14 (over 4 passages)
Sentence Corrections: 12-13

Your first post at GMATClub was about 4 weeks ago. How have your studies been going since then?

Based on your question in this thread, I assume that you have not taken any practice CATs/mocks yet, so it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test sometime soon (perhaps this weekend); you can access 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

With another 3-4 months of study time, you could potentially improve your GMAT skills a great deal. You'll have to be efficient with your studies though, since a 720+ Score is above the 90th percentile (meaning that most GMATers will never earn a Score that high, regardless of how long they study). Part of a proper Study Plan will include taking practice CATs/mocks at regular intervals - so I want to reiterate how important it is for you take that first practice CAT sometime soon (perhaps this weekend). Once you have your Score, you should post back here (or you can feel free to PM me directly) and we can discuss the results and how you might best proceed with your studies.
