Hi Vinamra6,
Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you've been studying for just 1 month, it's likely that you just have not put in enough time and effort to score higher yet (and you might very well improve over time as you continue to study). In addition, when reviewing your performance in the Verbal section, how often are you 'narrowing the answers down to 2 choices and then "guessing"?' I ask because the probability dictates that you're going to get about half of those questions wrong - so the more often you approach questions in that way, the tougher it will become to score at a really high level in that section. Thankfully, the Verbal section is as consistent and predictable as the Quant section is, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.
Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) Have you taken any other CATs/mocks besides these two? On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
