Hi.
Im santhosh. Im undergoing a big problem. i have booked my GMAT exam on october 26th 2012.
I have written some practice tests.
Manhattan
Quant : 49
Verbal : 24
Manhattan 2:
Quant : 49

Kaplan
Quant : 50
Verbal : 23

Verbal : 16
800 score
quant 1 : 41
quant 2 : 44
quant 3 : 49

The biggest problem for me is that im not able to get good scores in verbal. What should i do to get good scores in verbal. That too im having only 2 months. Please help me. Its enough if i get 36 in verbal so that my overall score will be 720+

First of all, congratulations on the strong quant performance. To reach your goal, you need to take a very serious approach to verbal preparation, which means that at a minimum you'll need to get study materials to help you along. I recommend our Verbal Essentials package (https://www.manhattangmat.com/storeitems ... ItemID=593) because it contains all the reference material you need to prep for verbal. You need to take a "bottoms-up" approach to your preparation, meaning that you need to start with basic, foundational concepts if you want to get really comfortable with GMAT verbal questions. You'll get those basic concepts from the Foundations of Verbal book, then you can increase your knowledge base with the verbal strategy guides.
Your OG prep should also reflect this "bottoms-up" focus. Don't try to answer all the hard questions because you'll never see them until you have mastered the lower-level questions (starting at the beginning of the OG).
Is timing a problem for you? How do you feel about Reading Comprehension?
As you take a very serious look at Verbal, don't forget to continue practicing Quant. You probably still have room to grow and you definitely don't want to get rusty.

I have already got manhattan books. I felt it too difficult to read it from the beginning. so i did wat u said not to do.. I read and tried only higher level question.
And yes, timing is a big issue for me.. im not able to manage time in Verbal. and reading comprehension is my toughest. im not able to predict whether my answer choice is atleast 50 % correct. But in sentence correction im picking one but that looks so right to me wen im choosing but goes wrong. the only part with saves me is critical reasoning, where im using elimination method to get the answer correct..!!!
