Hi
4kewl,
Thanks for reaching out. It is important to be transparent/honest in your applications, as yes, once you accept an offer of admission, that school will typically verify details of your background including your employment. However, when the company (Revera or Kroll typicall) verifies your employment, they may not contact your supervisor directly, and will often contact the company's main line or HR contact. In fact, when you fill out applications, I would be sure to provide that number for the company if asked. Also, whoever they verify your employment with will typically just be asked to verify key facts like your title, dates of employment, salary/bonus. They don't typically ask about job responsibilities or performance from what I know. So I think you should be fine here!
Hope that helps,
Kate

Hi!
I am planning to apply to B-School programs R1 this fall and have concerns around my application
In my prior job, I worked on some projects that my official supervisor was not aware about as these projects were covered under mandates by a different supervisor. I am concerned whether I can report them given the ad-hoc supervisor is writing my recommendations.
My worry is about agencies (Kroll/Re Vera) connecting with the official supervisor on-record to verify these who would have no clue.
Thanks for your help
