First post here, just wanted to share my GMAT experience.
Little Background:
The business school im going to only has a mean score of 460 or so, and It is really the only school I ever considered because its where I got my finance degree and is close enough to get to while working since my employer is paying for my education.
MY study strategy:
I read GMAT for dummies cover to cover and took one GMATPrep test. I studied a few hrs a week mostly on weekends. I got a 530 on the GMAT prep test and a 500 on the GMAT (30Q 29V).
While I know this is good enough for my needs, I don't recommend anyone read GMAT for dummies....I feel like a dummy for even buying it now after seeing how great the other real test prep books are (Looking through them in Barnes and Noble)
GMAT for dummies also has some incorrect information, such as telling you to bring pencils to the exam etc...not a big deal, but still.
All in all, Im just glad its over..but I wish I studied with Kaplan instead maybe I could have achieved closer to a 600.
