Some people say there isn't a ton of points you can gain from studying more.

This is absolute rubbish. You should read some of the stories on the "Best GMAT Stories" thread. There are people who've gone up from like 570 to 770 and so on. Don't lose hope. And look at all the threads that Hussain15 gave you the link to, and I'm sure you'll be able to improve your score greatly.

I was just about to comment on this...lol~

whoever told you that studying doesn't equal gaining points probably did not do too well and did not put in too much time studying. That's completely bullsh*t. And yes, again, refer to Hussain's link; there are some great links there!

first of all, not finishing the test costs you a lot of points and your 600 should be higher. Also, studying will help you get higher score but there is a "cap" to ones ability though (there are many "took x times but score same stories too...) even after tons of studying. You should study and then take a real test and see how you do. dont give up so early man!

Hi Iamrit,
welcome to Gmat Club,
Well i will agree with what the people say that u cant gain much points by studying more..Its kinda a true actually if we keep studying and without grasping the strategies used for solving question it wont be of much use...try to learn from the mistake u make keep an error log and with the help of it try to find out ur mistakes and solutions for the incorrect answers!!
thanx
