hey my dear people of GMATCLUB! First of all, in my opinion this is one of the greatest forums in the whole internet!
I am currently student on a BA programm at a university in Europe. I want to apply at some good MSC Programs or do a MBA later. I'm target to achieve a 700+ score on GMAT, i will have also enough time to prepare for the exam.
But I have a few questions regarding the english skills, I fear the verbal part on GMAT. I am a non native speaker and I was never abroad in a englishspeaking country. Nevertheless I read a lot of the Economist, of course I watch english movies and so on ( I achieved only 96 Points on TOEFL iBT, but without preperation).
My biggest weak is the grammar, I think I can improve it with Murphy's English Grammar in Use.
Do you think it is possible for me to achieve a 700+ score with my english skills? Of course I will use the typical prep material (MGMAT, PowerScore, etc.), do you have other suggestions beside Murphy's English Grammar in Use and the economist? Or is it enough?

As you said that you live in a country where English is not spoken much, but going by your post, it seems that you have a fair command over English though there are some grammatical mistakes in your posts.
Anyway, you haven't mentioned when you do you approximately want to take the test.Secondly, I'd suggest that to gauge your competency level ,I'd recommend that you take a GMATPREP test. That will give your a fair estimate about how much do you need to improve to reach a 700.

I was able to get 96th percentile in Verbal (V42) and I am not a native speaker....
