Left-handers vs the laminated pads + pens

Question

So if you're right-handed, you're probably totally unaware of the writing woes that left-handers deal with; due to the left-to-right nature of the English language, left-handers have to write very carefully or risk smudging their writing.

I was thinking this might be particularly problematic with the laminated testpads and markers, since I can imagine the pad/marker combo is significantly less permanent than the paper/pen combo.

Have any lefties taken the GMAT who can confirm/deny whether this is an issue with the pens/pads.

PS I'm mostly kidding about the 'writing woes', but in this situation it might be a legitimate concern.

it takes about 5 seconds for the marker to dry. (just experimented)
However, i would recommend you get a test simulation booklet for $15 and give it a shot yourself.... having the comfort on the test may be well worth it...

Haha, yeah, it was a long time before I realized that righties didn't have to deal with it - I just thought everyone had to deal with the side of their hand being black from the pen ink.

You are probably of the age that still remembers overhead projector sheets. remember those? the writing experience on the materials they give out on the GMAT are equivalent, but with graph paper closer to legal size paper and a sharper writing tool.

I was 7 when I saw one of those for the first time. Now I'm 24, so much has changed in the past years. OHP is totally outdated now; kinda like those telephones with circular dialer or dial-up internet!

im a bit older, but damn thinking about those overheads makes me feel ancient. A few more years and kids won't even know what they are... they wont even hold a special place in tech history like a 5" or 3.5" "floppy". shyoot, I remember film strips... anyone remember those? little pieces of film like 1"x1" loaded into a circular cartridge/projector thing?
