Yesterday I took a Kaplan CAT(from the CD included with the Kaplan Premier 2010-2011 ) and scored a 33 in verbal and 50 in q. I found rc extremely diffcult and even sc wasn't a piece of cake either. Whereas, I had been scoring 37-41 on MGMAT verbal(improved to 41 in 3 MGMAT tests after working on CR) and usually rc is my strength. I had heard that Kaplan rc is harder but what about sc?
And also how reliable is the Kaplan quant score too? I had scored consistently 47 on all the 3 MGMAT tests. Based on that, am I close to my actual target of atleast a 50 on q and above 40 on verbal?
I know, these things can't be predicted but some insight would be helpful.

you look pretty bang on your target...Kaplan is in general considered tougher ( including SC)

i've had the same experience--
first test was GMATPrep and i got 50Q/46V
tried the GMAT Premier today and got 50Q/37V
most of the difference in verbal came from SC--i'd say that Kaplan is significantly harder in that regard

That really made me feel better. After going through the Kaplan 800 book sc, I have come to the conclusion that Kaplan sc is just confusing and not representative of the GMAT questions. Now off to look for better sc questions to practice.
