Hi,
I downloaded the "Tough Problem Solving Questions with Solutions" (attached) document from the GMATClub math forum and started solving it. I am not able to solve any of the problems completely and i am struck in a stage where i am not able to proceed further. I am relatively good in MATH, it is just the idea to approach the problem doesn't hit me in the process of solving. When i look at the explanation, i feel silly for missing the idea ( i feel the problem was do-able. I would say, i am not thinking as GMAT expects me to do so).
Have anybody in this situation before and what should i do to solve complex problems to improve my score?. I have covered all topics in Quant related to GMAT and i feel my foundations are good.
I seriously need some assistance / help to get out of my situation.

Don't worry Mahesh, there's nothing wrong with the approach you are using. It's just that you're expecting results too fast. You see, familiarizing yourself with the theory for a particular topic is the first step of the whole learning process. The next step is applying the theory. You are presently at this stage. Here, the key is to work on easy to medium level problems and focus on accuracy rather than speed. After your accuracy in answering easy to medium questions is satisfactory, move on to hard questions. Don't start with tough problems right away. Once you're comfortable answering questions with a high rate of accuracy under non-timed conditions, try doing the same under timed conditions; this is the next step. Use the problems in the official guide during this stage. The last step is testing yourself. This of course can be done through any reliable mock test.
